Multi-generational teams mix together in the workplace today: Greatest, Silent, Boomers, GenX and Gen@. Each generation has divergent values, expectations and needs. How can your nonprofit organization relate most effectively to these diverse generations of employees, volunteers, donors and clients?
Boomers founded and currently direct many nonprofits. They will retire and exit in mass, soon. Is your organization ready? Do you have a plan? Do you have a talented successor to ensure your organization continues successfully?
In 2008, CNE is focusing on the challenges and impacts of Generational Change on nonprofits, including leadership transition. We are presenting the issues and perspectives related to demographics, financial implications, technology issues, work-life balance, diversity, and leadership mentoring & coaching. And we will share with you best practices developed to date as well as provide opportunities to share your ideas and opinions with your peers.
There is both an urgency and an opportunity to generational change. Throughout 2008, CNE will offer workshops and seminar programs with topics based on this theme. Prepare with us to manage it: it matters to YOUR nonprofit!
