Mission & Vision Statements:
: The mission statement should identify the organization’s customer, the reputation the organization wants to have, and the services(s) it provides. Mission statements should be short enough to be easily memorized and repeated, often called "T-shirt statements" and still provide a clear picture of the purpose of the organizations. The mission statement should be included on all organizational documents as a reminder of the organization’s purpose for being.
The vision statement is the big-picture, long-term outcome desired for the organization. It answers the question, "What will success look like?" The mission and vision statement should drive the decisions made during the organization’s planning processes.
