I. Privacy Policy:
A. CNE will not disclose the email address or any other personally identifiable information about any customer or his/her organization to any third party without the express consent of the customer. No outside parties will have access to any personally identifiable information that is entered into the CNE database.
II. Copyright Policy:
A. All information and images published on the CNE website is subject to intellectual property rights and copyright laws. Page authors will obtain written permission from the owner of the copyright material (including text, graphics, and other forms of media) prior to the copyrighted material being published on the CNE website. Copyright infringement complaints should be sent to CNE Director of Administration.
B. CNE grants permission for the nonprofit reproduction or distribution of information provided on this website provided that:
1. Proper copyright notice is affixed where applicable;
2. No alterations are made to the content of any file; and
3. Credit is given to CNE or the specified author(s) copyright holder(s) of the document as the source of the information.
III. Anti-Spam Policy
A. CNE is strongly opposed to the practice of spamming (sending unsolicited email, particularly in bulk.) We have anti-spam policies and procedures in place to:
1. Protect CNE web users and staff from receiving spam, and
2. Protect CNE as an organization, both from spam and the risk of being labeled a spammer.
B. Spam is in the eye of the receiver. Many Internet users regard any unsolicited email as spam, whether or not that email is commercial in nature or is sent as part of a bulk mailing. Since many CNE users and their ISP are now using spam-blocking software and are reporting unsolicited emails as spam (whether or not these emails meet legal or technical definitions of spam,) CNE believes it is crucial that we limit our emails to those addresses for which we have been granted verifiable, deliberate, explicit and revocable permission.
