The Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) believes a nonprofit committed to growth and effectiveness must also be a learning organization. The purpose of CNE's training programs is to build organizational staff capacity to deliver effective community service, thereby improving area nonprofits, the nonprofit sector in general, and society at large.

CNE offers workshops, seminars and peer learning programs with topics based on an annual theme, i.e. social enterprise. Core offerings critical to a sound foundation, such as financial management, are also offered regularly. All training is designed to increase the skills of professional staff and/or board members.
